The growing sector of testing advanced materials such as composites in the Aerospace MRO sector is as demanding as ever. Over time Sonatest has developed a range of NDT equipment which are now recognised as leading NDT solutions in this field, and unique to Sonatest. Frequent NDT applications include composite laminate inspection, non-visible impact damage, stringer inspection, bonded core inspection, delamination detection and corrosion mapping.
Now an established instrumentation series, the Rapidscan 2 and the Rapidscan 3D, in conjunction with the Radius and Array WheelProbes, offer the aerospace and and composite testing arenas unrivalled solutions, not only in the speed of inspection acheivable, but also with regard to the quality and and accuracy of the results.
Conventional high powered Flaw Detectors, such as the Masterscan Series, are also ideal for this sector.
The Dryscan 410D Ultrasonic Flaw Detector is optimised for low frequency through transmission inspection of composite materials such as honeycomb materials using dry (rubber) coupled wheel or spot transducers.
For precision thickness gauging the Microgage VX gauge with the Sonapen transducer is ideal in the aerospace in sector.
