TOFD Scanning Frames

Time of Flight Diffraction offers the end user faster and more cost-effective inspections. Using longitudinal waves, two angle beam transducers are placed symmetrically opposing each other on top of the test piece or weld. One transducer will transmit the ultrasonic energy whilst the other will receive. TOFD Scanning frames, in a 'A' or 'H' frame configuration, enable the operator to achieve consistent and stable positioning and therefore, results!

Wren TOFD Scanning Frame

A manual 'H' shaped TOFD hand scanner, the Wren can be held in one hand and is ideal for site use, particularly where minimum access is required. It is available in 4-inch or 8-inch versions and comes with spring-loaded, quick release wedges.

TOFD Caliper

This pocket-sized device allows for quick and easy TOFD scanning with a permanent record of the results. It is ideal for inspecting smaller areas or those which are difficult to access and has proved itself as a firm favourite with TOFD technicians.
